Famous Last Words of Dying Christians

About this Project

About Prophecy News Daily

“Some want to live within the sound of church or chapel bell; I want to run a rescue shop, within a yard of hell.”

- C.T. Studd (1860–1931) was a British Anglican Christian Missionary to China

Are we living in the last days as described in the Bible? Are the events foretold in the Holy Scriptures happening which describe the things the people of the earth would see unfold before their very eyes?

On this website there is more than 300 Bible verses specifically referring to the "end times", "last days", "latter times", and the "end of the age" that are followed with posted news articles documenting that all of these things are happening in our lifetime. Not only happening but increasing like the birth pangs of a child. Jesus said when we see these things happening, we will know that his return is very near, even at the door.

The Bible teaches that THE ETERNAL ONE, would become flesh. GOD HIMSELF became human flesh like us. He became a man in the form of Jesus Christ who lived and walked amongst us. This Man would live a sinless life and suffer a cruel death. He would then be raised from the dead for the Salvation of mankind; and ANYONE, who would repent from their sin and accept Him as their Lord and Savior during their lifetime on earth would have Eternal life with Him forever and ever. Amen.

I’ve been watching Bible prophecy for more than 40 years. Prophecy News Daily is a front row seat to current world events as seen through the lens of Bible Prophecy. I pray the Bible verses, daily devotionals, news articles and stories will strengthen your faith, encourage you, and awaken you to signs foretold in the Bible about the imminent return of Jesus Christ as He promised.

Standing in the Gap! – Ezekiel 22:30

“But if the watchman sees the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take [any] person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman’s hand.”

AND SEARCHED THE SCRIPTURES DAILY

"...In that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so."

- Acts 17:11

C.S. Lewis (1898-1963)
"The study of prophecy opens our eyes to God’s sovereignty over history. We can trust in His promises for the future."

Charles Spurgeon (1834-1892)
"We must study the prophecies in the Bible carefully, for they point us to God's eternal plan for His people. The Lord is coming, and His Word is faithful."

Charles Finney (1792-1875)
"We are commanded to understand the times, and prophecy is a key to that understanding. It teaches us to expect and prepare for God's plan."

George Müller (1805-1898)
"When we study Bible prophecy, we are reminded of God's faithfulness. His promises are true, and we are to live in anticipation of His coming."

Psalm 46:1-3

“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging.”

God is our strength — if we seek Him. When fear and stress overtake us, turning to prayer and Bible verses about strength is essential.

Philippians 4:6

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”

If you seek prayer for comfort, you’ll be in good hands. Remember to take any fears or worries to the Lord.

Isaiah 41:10

“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

In the midst of stress and anxiety, it is essential to remember that God is with you and will not forsake you. This is just one of the comforting Bible verses that drives home this point.

1 Peter 5:7

“Cast all your anxiety on Him because he cares for you.”

The Bible tells us that God has a purpose for our lives. It’s natural to experience worry and anxiety, but if we know that God holds us in His hands, we are able to get through these times of pain and difficulty.

Luke 12:25-26

“Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to your life? Since you cannot do this very little thing, why do you worry about the rest?”

Despite being a natural part of the human experience, worrying doesn’t add anything beneficial to our lives. After all, plenty of Bible verses about strength remind us that there’s so much in life that we simply can’t control.

Galatians 5:22-23

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.”

Remembering the fruit of the spirit can often keep believers focused on how they should be living their lives as followers of Christ. Finding peace, even amid struggles, is essential — and can be done through the Lord.

John 14:27

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”

Bible verses about strength in hard times remind us that the world cannot give us the peace that only God can provide. Instead of being fearful, believers should turn to the Almighty for help.

Joshua 1:9

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”

Courage is often lacking in modern society. Yet the Bible calls believers to be “strong and courageous” and not to get discouraged, as God is with them wherever they go.

2 Corinthians 12:9

“But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.”

Every individual experiences weakness at one point or another — or has areas in his or her life that require self-improvement. Sometimes these struggles present challenges, but 2 Corinthians 12:9 is a Bible verse about strength that shows how much Christ’s power can help.

2 Thessalonians 3:16

“Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you.”

If you’re struggling, offer a prayer for comfort and ask God to sustain you. Also, consider doing the same for others who might be facing difficult times.

Matthew 28:20

“And teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Jesus promised the disciples that he would be with them “to very end of the age,” thus believers can be content knowing that the Lord is with them always; these comforting Bible verses affirm that reality.

Please, God, strengthen me just once more, and let me with one blow get revenge on the Philistines for my two eyes.” 29 Then Samson reached toward the two central pillars on which the temple stood. Bracing himself against them, his right hand on the one and his left hand on the other, 30 Samson said, “Let me die with the Philistines!” Then he pushed with all his might, and down came the temple on the rulers and all the people in it. Thus he killed many more when he died than while he lived.

Let us, then, hold firmly to the faith we profess. For we have a great High Priest who has gone into the very presence of God—Jesus, the Son of God. Our High Priest is not one who cannot feel sympathy for our weaknesses. On the contrary, we have a High Priest who was tempted in every way that we are, but did not sin. (Hebrews 4:14-15)

Keep watch and pray that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak. (Matthew 26:41)

But those who want to get rich fall into temptation and are caught in the trap of many foolish and harmful desires, which pull them down to ruin and destruction. (1 Timothy 6:9)

Happy are those who remain faithful under trials, because when they succeed in passing such a test, they will receive as their reward the life which God has promised to those who love him. If we are tempted by such trials, we must not say, “This temptation comes from God.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, and he himself tempts no one. But we are tempted when we are drawn away and trapped by our own evil desires. Then our evil desires conceive and give birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death. (James 1:12-15)

You are tempted in the same way that everyone else is tempted. But God can be trusted not to let you be tempted too much, and he will show you how to escape from your temptations. (1 Corinthians 10:13)

So be careful how you live. Don’t live like ignorant people, but like wise people. Make good use of every opportunity you have, because these are evil days. Don’t be fools, then, but try to find out what the Lord wants you to do. (Ephesians 5:15-17)

Are there any of you who are wise and understanding? You are to prove it by your good life, by your good deeds performed with humility and wisdom. (James 3:13)

“So then, anyone who hears these words of mine and obeys them is like a wise man who built his house on rock. The rain poured down, the rivers flooded over, and the wind blew hard against that house. But it did not fall, because it was built on rock. “But anyone who hears these words of mine and does not obey them is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. The rain poured down, the rivers flooded over, the wind blew hard against that house, and it fell. And what a terrible fall that was!” (Matthew 7:24-27)

Call to True Worship

Psalms 8:1 O LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set your glory above the heavens.

Psalms 29:2 Ascribe to the LORD the glory due his name; worship the LORD in the splendor of holiness.

Call to True Worship

Psalms 8:1 O LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set your glory above the heavens.

Psalms 29:2 Ascribe to the LORD the glory due his name; worship the LORD in the splendor of holiness.

Psalms 95:6 Oh come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the LORD, our Maker!

Psalms 99:5 Exalt the LORD our God; worship at his footstool! Holy is he!

John 4:21-24 Jesus said to her, “Woman, believe me, the hour is coming when neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem will you worship the Father. You worship what you do not know; we worship what we know, for salvation is from the Jews. But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him. God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.”

Reasons for Worship

Deuteronomy 12:5-7 But you shall seek the place that the LORD your God will choose out of all your tribes to put his name and make his habitation there. There you shall go, and there you shall bring your burnt offerings and your sacrifices, your tithes and the contribution that you present, your vow offerings, your freewill offerings, and the firstborn of your herd and of your flock. And there you shall eat before the LORD your God, and you shall rejoice, you and your households, in all that you undertake, in which the LORD your God has blessed you.

Philippians 2:9-11 Therefore God has highly exalted him [Jesus] and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

James 4:8 Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you…

Revelation 5:9 And they sang a new song, saying, “Worthy are you to take the scroll and to open its seals, for you were slain, and by your blood you ransomed people for God from every tribe and language and people and nation,

Revelation 4:11 “Worthy are you, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they existed and were created.”

Examples of Worship

Exodus 33:9-10 Then Moses entered the tent, the pillar of cloud would descend and stand at the entrance of the tent, and the LORD would speak with Moses. And when all the people saw the pillar of cloud standing at the entrance of the tent, all the people would rise up and worship, each at his tent door.

Psalms 100:4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise! Give thanks to him; bless his name!

Romans 12:1-2  I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

Bible Verses About Worship

I have been crucified with Christ

Galatians 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

Hebrews 5:7 In the days of his flesh, Jesus offered up prayers and supplications, with loud cries and tears, to him who was able to save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverence.

Worship in Song

Exodus 15:20-21 Then Miriam the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, took a tambourine in her hand, and all the women went out after her with tambourines and dancing. And Miriam sang to them:  “Sing to the LORD, for he has triumphed gloriously;the horse and his rider he has thrown into the sea.”

How Can I Be Saved?

You’ve probably seen John 3:16 posted somewhere on a sign, written on a freeway overpass, at a concert, at a sporting event, or even read to you as a little child. This verse is a simple one. There are 20 monosyllables (single words) in the verse. The Gospel is meant to be simple for everyone!

Be sure of your Salvation. Right now, and pray this simple prayer with a sincere heart...

“Lord, forgive me for my sins. I confess that I am a sinner. Come into my heart and make me the person you created me to be. I receive your gift of pardon through Jesus dying for me on the cross to save me. – Amen”

It was once determined in a court of law that a pardon is only a pardon when it is accepted. There is a true story about a man that refused his pardon. A judge ruled that a pardon is only a pardon when it is accepted. When you prayed that prayer and accepted God’s pardon for your sins, you became a new creation in Christ.

The Bible teaches that you are saved by faith through Jesus. Grow in the Grace that was just given to you, seek God in His word (The Bible) and go out tell somebody!
